See You In New York

Thursday, less than two weeks ago, an ISIS inspired attack took the lives of four unarmed Marines and a Sailor in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Any rational person understands that this attack was driven by an extremist interpretation of Islam. ISIS believes in a strict, literal interpretation of Sharia Law. In the last year they have killed tens of thousands of Christians, Yazidis, Jews and Shia Muslims. Some of their draconian capital punishments have been handed out for trifling offenses including the smoking of cigarettes, eating during the daylight hours of Ramadan and wearing un-islamic dress.

FBI Director James Comey has said, ” There are hundreds, maybe thousands of people across our country who are receiving recruitment overtures from the terrorist group (ISIS), or directives to attack the U.S.”

We have to be right every time in stopping these terrorist attacks. Even if we stop a thousand attacks, the one that slips through can be devastating. While the FBI is one of the premier law enforcement agencies in the world it is not perfect. Michael Steinbach, head of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Task Force, is on the record as stating, “There are individuals that have been in communication with groups like ISIS who have a desire to conduct an attack and those people are living in the United States right now.”

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self proclaimed Caliph of ISIS, was a prisoner of the United States until we released him four years ago. As he was leaving prison he told American soldiers, “I’ll see you in New York.” The war has come to the soil of the United States. Brace yourselves for more savage attacks !
