To Shi’a the Sunnis who despise Shi’a are “Takfiris.”

To Sunnis the Shi’a who despise Sunnis, or even those who don’t despise them, are “Rafidite dogs.”

For a few days, or possibly a few weeks, you willl hear constantly that “it’s all over but the mopping up.” And then it will be over. And what will happen then? Iranian commanders, image-conscious, may try to prevent reprisal mass-killings, but  won’t  the natural aggression, violence, and ruthlessness of Islam win out? And even if there aren’t mass killings, won’t the Sunnis, in the conspiracy-theory universe of Islam, believe that  there were, and become even more full of hate toward Shi’a? As long as the Americans stay out, and don’t help with air power when the Iranians decide to attack Mosul, things will go just fine. By just fine I mean that the Sunni-Shi’a divide will deepen. Tote that barge, lift that bale, don’t do anything and you will deepen that divide.
