The Cult Of Erdogan

Even Mustafa  “Sola Scriptura” Akyo, Defender of the Reformed Faith,  can now see that Erdogan’s cult of personality is dangerous, but he puts a mustafa-akyolish slant on it — Erdoganism is an alternative to Islam (what Akyol calls “Islamism”), and therefore bad. It’s not the fact of an alternative to Islam, and the figure of Muhammad, that non-Muslims will deplore; it’s the replacement of that alternative, Ataturk, by Erdogan.
