Presumably nobody would turn a hair if “vulnerable young men” were converting to Islam…?
People shouldn’t be worried about young men becoming Christians. if they become actively professing Christians then on balance they’re less likely to heed the siren song of Islam.
And as it happens, the three young men – two soldiers, one civilian – who took down the jihadi on board the train to Paris were *all* professing Christians…they met and made friends while they were all little boys together at an independent Christian school, and the civilian, Anthony Sadler, is a Minister’s Kid, that is, his dad is a pastor.
Christianity at its best helps shape and guide young men like Spencer Stone, Alex Skarlatos (given his Greek name and father’s Greek ethnic background, he was probably baptised in the Greek Orthodox church), and Anthony Sadler (Baptist church background).
Islam, on the other hand, naturally produces murderous creatures like the French train jihadi, by the thousands upon thousands.
