The last sneer of Two Tier Kier

All hail the King of the North!
So Two Tier Kier has gorn! He is an unprime minister. No more.
I’m not rejoicing because it’s a change of government I want and that is for the future.
In the short term I was considering this, his last X post as Prime Minister, other than a Fathers Day post commending his own father which I cannot fault. And his resignation statement last night.

Of itself he is right; stabbing people is appalling. It’s attempted murder. Wrong.
This is the BBC report the former PM linked to on Saturday.
A man has been charged following a series of suspected anti-Muslim attacks in Edinburgh that left five men injured.
Footage posted on social media appears to show a man – bare-chested and carrying a large weapon – vandalising a petrol station and battering the door of a pizzeria several miles away on Leith Walk before being held on the ground by police.
Police Scotland said a 36-year-old man had been charged in connection with a number of incidents that took place on Friday.
MEND Scotland, a Muslim engagement group, said that several of the victims were from the Muslim community.
Police said none of the injuries sustained were believed to be life-threatening. Two of the injured men were aged 22, and others were aged 24, 27 and 39.
In another video, an officer can be seen holding a topless man on the ground, who then swears and shouts that he is “protecting the country”.
Asst Ch Con Paton said it was a “shocking attack”.
She said: “I want to send a clear message of support to all our communities that there is no place for racism or faith-based hate in a Scotland which is at its best when we stand together.
The Muslim Council of Britain said the Muslim community is “rightly nervous and worried”.
Note that the attack is immediately percieved as anti-Muslim. It was quickly deemed to be a terrorist attack.
Also the BBC yesterday
A man has appeared in court charged with five counts of attempted murder linked to terrorism, following alleged anti-Muslim attacks in Edinburgh.
Five people were hurt at various locations in the city on Friday night.
Lewis Hawkes was also charged with assault and robbery, breach of the peace and culpable and reckless conduct.
Police Scotland said none of the injuries were life-threatening and an investigation led by counter-terror officers was ongoing.
The comments under TT Kier’s (I prefer that title to the technically correct ‘Sir’) last post as PM point out his double standard as well as I can.
- Ant Middleton:- Ooh quick to jump on this one I see! ‘I will not tolerate this’ speaking like a true dictator. So it is you that’s personally swaying/interfering with the justice system for harsher punishment when it comes to white Brits. Corrupt to the core! Your only job now is to stand down before you’re booted by your own party. Absolutely nobody wants you around let alone listens to you… RESIGN! (Ant Middleton is a candidate for London Mayor in future election)
- You’re incredibly quiet when it’s the other way round. Say his name Wayne Broadhurst. Murdered by an illegal Afghan Muslim.
- So fast to speak about this so slow to speak about Henry Nowak. Says it all. Resign you’re history already
- He may have mental health issues, and speculating about the case could prejudice the proceedings. (the assailant seriously doesn’t look quite the ticket, but this possibilitiy has not been rushed out admid the usual appeal for calm and that the authorities are trying to establish a motive)
- Muslim kills people, we have to be aware of Islamophobia. White bloke stabs Muslims, we have to be aware of Islamophobia.
- Paul Weston (of Restore Party, and a long-standing critic of the Islamissation of the country) Starmer: “The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred.” Contempt of Court Act 1981: “Publications that create a substantial risk of serious prejudice to active criminal proceedings can amount to contempt. This includes public comments that risk influencing jurors, witnesses, or the administration of justice.” MOTIVE is often a key element the prosecution must prove. Commenting on it publicly — especially from the Prime Minister — can be seen as pre-judging or endorsing one side’s narrative before evidence is tested in court. High-profile comments carry extra weight because they reach a wide audience and could affect potential jurors or public perception. Starmer has stated the motive was anti-Muslim hatred. He has acted, as PM, for the prosecution. . . There cannot be one law for us and a different law for them.
- “I will not tolerate this.” Yet when the shoe is on the other foot, your ideology has not only tolerated but actively facilitated the industrial gang-rape of 250,000 English girls over the past half-century.
And so on. I really can’t add anymore on the contrast in attitude of the former PM, and those who take their cue from him, between an attack on Muslims and an attack by Muslims.
We recall the 17 seconds he spent in Southport, wreath laid and away, expressionless robotic face ignoring the weeping grandparents on the street one of whom did cry out to him.
We recall that the King set the example to him after the attack on the Heaton Park synagogue by visiting and talking to survivors of that attack.
I’m not rejoicing, glad as I am to see the back of him. My antipathy goes back to when he was Director of Public Prosecutions, and it relates to an internal Civil Service matter but that was 20 years ago.
Readers may have noticed a by-election in the constituency of Makerfield last week. It was hoped that Reform would win it and they did well but it was never going to be permitted. The sitting MP (Labour) was constrained to step down (this is a safe Labour seat, there are less of them than there were, but this is one of the last) and the Labour candidate, who won is the co-called King of the North Andy Burnham. He now leaves a space for the election of a replacement Mayor of Greater Manchester.
The Telegraph is hailing his arrival by train yesterday as
Burnham set for coronation – Labour’s ‘King of the North’ expected to become prime minister without a contest, as Starmer bows out on the verge of tears
He probably will win the leadership contest merely because he has enough charm and
good looks to overpower the other candidates (Angela Rayner, Wes Streeting anyone? – latest news – Wes Streeting will not stand against the King of the North)
He is popular in Manchester on the strength of his mayorality during the pandemic. As my source in the north, who was working in Manchester at that time said of those months, he seemed to care for the city and he had a presence about him which was good for morale. This is to his credit.
But do not forget, during his time as Mayor of Manchester, and before that as MP for Leigh in the Wigan district of Greater Manchester, and his ministerial posts in the Labour government of 2008-2010 he would have known about the abomination of the rape gangs operating in that area and further afield and is implicated in the cover-up. While the abuses of Rochdale are being uncovered, Oldham is still to be fully exposed.
Don’t let the cheery face, the blokey charm, the humour, the Andycore style and the specs from Specsavers fool you. The responsibility of Mayor of Manchester was dropped, and the people of Ashton-in-Makerfield and Ince-in-Makerfield used as his stepping stone to the prize post as soon as the opportunity arose. But then, that’s politics.
I am not optimistic.
