Tommy Robinson charged after tackling the man who indecently assaulted Tommy’s young daughter.

That isn’t the headline the newspapers are showing. The BBC says

Tommy Robinson charged with Center Parcs swimming pool assault

The Daily Mail says

Tommy Robinson is charged with common assault after he ‘smacked a holidaymaker during row at Center Parcs swimming pool’

But does at least add the information that

Following the incident at about 1pm yesterday, Mr Robinson said he had been trying to prevent a man he believed had committed an offence from leaving the scene.

Tommy himself says on TR news that his eight year old daughter was groped with in the swimming pool and he behaved as any normal father would, by tackling the man. Tommy was arrested and has been charged with common assault to appear  at Luton magistrates court next month. So far as we know the man who indecently assaulted Tommy’s girl was treated for first aid but not arrested for his assault. Tommy and his wife must press for this. A child has made an allegation and such must be taken seriously.

  1. In my day in Britain this was usually settled by the family. The groping or sexual touching a female child would result in either the father, or other close relative taking action.

  2. This business of blaming Tommy Robinson is twisted justice even cowardice by the authorities. A smack across the face is the very least action to get the attention of and prevent the escape of this paedophile. The issue of the assault on the girl is the real matter not Robbinson smack.
