Trump’s Third Term Is a Lock!

Okay, get serious, Simon. You don’t mean Donald J. Trump, in the face of more RINOS than can be found in the Bronx Zoo and the Serengeti combined, not to mention a Democrat Party to the left of Trotsky, is going to be able to engineer a constitutional amendment to allow him a third term in time for the 2028 election?

 

Of course not. I may be dumb. But I’m not “Dumb and Dumber”. I didn’t even see the movie. It just sounded too, well, dumb and there were already infinite Three Stooges reruns.

Nevertheless, you don’t have to be Nostradamus or anything remotely similar to see this coming :

Barring unforeseen illness or force majeure, Donald John Trump will be the de facto president after the 2029 Inauguration, although not the de jure one.

Think about it. Who on anybody’s horizon will replace him from either party or even from the mysterious world of “the independent” that will have anywhere near the impact, charisma, and so forth of DJT? I doubt even FDR could have done it.

Who could possibly replace him in the public eye or the media eye? Nobody has come even faintly close since he came down the escalator in 2015 and no one is likely to do so until he dies.

The global media depends on him for their fragile incomes. Do you imagine that even for a second they are going to ignore him? Harry and Meghan are very expendable but not Donald. The Daily Mail would be on life-support. MSNBC and CNN are already on life-support, clinging to his coattails. The rest might as well be.

This is irrespective of whatever you may think of him—good, bad or indifferent. I happen to be the former, but that’s almost beside the point.

Shakespeare, as usual, put it best when he has Cassius remind Brutus:

“Why, man, he doth bestride the narrow world
Like a Colossus, and we petty men
Walk under his huge legs and peep about
To find ourselves dishonorable graves.”

That, fortunately or not, is about the size of it, except that Cassius was. as we know, referring to Julius Caesar, not Donald Trump.

We live in a truly exceptional era when one man is that outsized. Come 2029, forget Washington D. C., Beijing, Moscow or Doha (no one cares about London or Paris anymore ). The world will revolve around Mar-a-Lago more than it already does .

Never mind what the new president, the Senate, the House, the UN, the EU, Wall Street, even Silicon Valley. Grok or ChatGPT thinks. What does Donald think?

What does all this add up to? It’s tricky. Trump has surrounded himself with some people who would be excellent presidential candidates in normal times—J. D. Vance, Marco Rubio, Tulsi Gabbard, to name a few.

On the Democrat side there’s … er… er… well, it is difficult, isn’t it? It reminds me of yet another entry from “Ripley’s Believe It or Not” from when I was kid. It showed a gravestone with the words “Here Lies John Mound/Lost at Sea and Never Found”. As an eight-year old, I recall wondering if that was real or a joke. Probably the latter, but it certainly sums up the Democrats at this moment.

But again that’s relatively beside the point because whoever follows Trump as titular president of whatever party will be just that, a semi-symbolic figure existing in the shadow of a behemoth. If this sounds a bit like idol worship, it is.

Despite whatever excesses imputed to him, I cannot recall a president in my lifetime, and I was born at the tail end of WWII, who has remotely done as much for the country and the world than Donald J. Trump. That includes all categories foreign and domestic, down to small things you would never think a president could possibly pay attention to. How does this person do it all?

I’m sure this is not lost on those possible successors I mentioned above who I imagine are already studying the man to learn his secrets. I have bad news for them. They can’t. Such things can’t be learned. Still, it’s worth trying because some of it, at least, can rub off.

We are all living in historic times with an historic leader. and we should make the best of them while we have them both. Live in a positive spirit, as I have said many times, and fight. That means encouraging (or threatening if necessary) those RINOS also mentioned above to put their egos and greed aside and enact permanently Trump’s almost always wise proposals for the good of the country. We should be ever-mindful, from Shakespeare and from life, that where there is great power and success there will also almost automatically be great jealousy. Act accotdingly.

Nevertheless, celebrate while you can.. Trump’s not going to live forever. None of us are.

APROPOS OF CELEBRATION

The Department of Justice leaked out today that they have empaneled a grand jury in the matter of the election conspiracy many of us have been talking and writing about for years. Whether Obama, Hillary and/or their intelligence agent henchmen will all get the punishment they richly deserved is unclear, but it is likely their lives will never be the same—and for the worse, probably for the much worse. Hasta la victoria siempre!! Remember that, Hillary, from your pseudo-leftie days. Always on to victory. Well, there’s been a role reversal.

Pray for Israel, which is now apparently going to fight a war full force it should have fought on October 8, 2023— with Trump’s blessing. by the way. His envoy Steve Witkoff told him something that was obvious—that Gazans weren’t starving, except at the hands of Hamas. It also became clear Hamas never intended to return all the hostages. The Israelis always knew that but they still had to try for the sake of the families. Hamas exploited that. That humanitarian Israeli behavior, so unlike his own, is what Yahyah Sinwar learned in an Israeli prison while an Israeli doctor saved his life by curing his brain tumor. (The doctor’s nephew was murdered by Hamas on Oct. 7) Meanwhile corrupt leaders like Macron and Starmer pretended they believed what they must have known was BS, unless they were lobotomized, that Israel was being genocidal. As Ambassador Huckabee pointed out, if that were so, the Israelis were terrible at it. The population of Gaza has actually increased in the last two years. More information is also coming out now on the degree the Associate Press lied. A whistleblower journalist is now reporting how he was instructed to believe Hamas’ mortality figures although he and they knew it was a lie. The AP is utter garbage. None of this is a surprise. Anyway we can only pray this soon will be over and the billionaires who run Hamas will soon be dead in their lavish Qatar hotel rooms.
