Here I am on holiday. An English country church in spring.

Round towers are relatively rare and most of them are in East Anglia. Stone had to be brought a distance and at a price. Flint is local and plentiful and a round tower doesn’t need strong corners. Even square towers here have beautiful flintwork decoration.
