Despite the pandemic our brothers and allies in Oslo Norway have made their traditional gift of a Christmas tree for Trafalgar Square. It was set up earlier this week. I am never usually free to visit Trafalgar Square on the Thursday for the ceremony when it is lit and Anglo-Norwegian fellowship celebrated, and the Christmas season welcomed. My family have been to visit later in December for the singing of carols by various choirs every evening.
This evening the lighting ceremony will be streamed on line, so that while we are discouraged from attending in person we can still see it from home. This is the link, 6pm Greenwich Mean Time.
