Aine Davis appears in court in London ahead of terror trial accused of possession of a firearm and funding terrorism

A man accused of terror offences appeared before a judge today ahead of his trial at the Old Bailey.   Aine Davis faces two charges related to providing money for terrorist purposes and one of possessing a firearm for a purpose connected to terrorism.

He sat in the dock wearing a black skull cap and blue sweatshirt before speaking only to confirm his name. The proceedings in his case opened today, but hours of legal arguments are expected before the trial can formally start.

The two charges look a bit tame compared with what we know the four British passport holding jihadists known as the ‘Beatles’ did on behalf of ISIS from 2012 to 2015. I expect that may be what some of these legal arguments are about. AlArabiya has much more background than the Daily Mail is (can?) giving.
