As reported by the ABC’s Dan Oakes and Suzanne Dredge earlier this month.
“Islamic State: Australian Man Joins “Self Sacrificers” Group Dwekh Nawsha, Fighting Militants [sic: ” defending indigenous Christians against genocidal Jihad” would have been more accurate – CM] in Iraq, Calls For International Support.”
‘An Australian man has joined a Christian militia fighting against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in northern Iraq.
These Christian militia – who by taking up arms to defend themselves against the Sunni Muslim jihadis of the Islamic State have taken a huge psychological step away from the bondage of the dhimma system which, among other things, totally forbids dhimmis, non-Muslims living under the dubious “protection” of a majority-Muslim entity, from ever owning or bearing arms and says they must not strike a Muslim, not even in self-defence against attempted rape, robbery, assault or murder – represent the last major surviving remnant of the pre-Islamic indigenous culture and people of Iraq. Their people have suffered grinding oppression and periodic mass murder at the hands of invading and occupying Muslim imperialists – whether Arab or Turkish or (this must be remembered) Kurdish or Persian – for over a millennium. There was a near-genocidal episode in the early 20th century, at the time of the jihad genocide of the Armenian Christians, when Assyrian and Greek Christian minorities were also targeted; then there was another massive and mass-murderous attack by Muslims upon the surviving Assyrian Christians in the 1930s, not long after the British left Iraq, and at a time when the remaining Iraqi Jews (another community whose presence in Mesopotamia predated Islam by millennia) were also savagely attacked. They were the indigenous majority population when Islam first arrived; they have been reduced to a dwindling minority in their own traditional homeland, by centuries of grinding oppression under the dhimma system punctuated by episodes of rape, robbery and outright slaughter meted out by Muslims. – CM
‘The ABC can reveal that Melbourne man (that is: an Assyrian-Australian Christian man from Melbourne – CM) Khamis Gewargis Khamis (note: that “Gewargis” is probably the Assyrian form of the name “George” – CM) joined an Assyrian militia called Dwekh Nawsha, which translates as “self-sacrificers”.
They will not make obscene beheading videos. They will not enslave underage girls. They are taking up arms against those who delight in beheading Coptic Christians, and other sorts and conditions of non-Muslims, on camera, for the delectation of the rest of the Ummah; they are taking up arms so that indigenous Assyrian Christian preschoolers and little girls and teenagers, and young women, and wives, will not be bereaved of their menfolk and seized and dragged off to the slave-market and the harems, to be beaten, and gang raped, and traded as slaves, by murderous Muslims who view them and treat them as nothing but objects for profit or pleasure, and delight in their pain and humiliation. – CM
‘The militia was formed in response to Islamic State’s assault on the Assyrian minority in Iraq.
That should be: “….in response to Islamic State’s genocidal assault upon the indigenous Assyrian non-Muslim people of Iraq.” – CM
‘I.S. has forced tens of thousands of Assyrians from their homes across the north of the country.
The Muslims, these pure, pious, by-the-letter Mohammed-imitating Muslims of Islamic State, are engaging in ethnoreligious “cleansing”; the driving out – or killing – or forcible absorption, through kidnapping and rape and killing or forcible ‘conversion’ to Islam of women, girls and girl-children – of an indigenous non-Muslim people-group. Where are all those people who wring their hands about the aggressive, sullen Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, or hold rallies for the Poooor Palestinians [TM] – the local Arab Muslims – in and around Israel, and wail about their supposed ‘plight”?? Why so silent about the destruction of the indigenous non-Muslim – Christian, Assyrian – people of Syria and Iraq? – CM
“They [Islamic State – CM] don’t discriminate when it comes to killing, torture and so on”, Mr Khamis told the ABC from his base in northern Iraq.
“These are barbaric people, they came here only to die for what they believe in, so you can imagine the terror that they are spreading among the families, the kids, and so on.”
Not only to “die for what they believe in”. These jihadis have every intention of killing, killing, killing – as many as possible non-muslims and deemed-insufficiently-Islamic or other-sect / deemed heretical Muslims – as human sacrifices to their god of blood and war, allah. – CM
‘Mr Khamis, who is married and has two children, is stationed with other Dwekh Nawsha fighters in a town called Baqofa, around 30 kilometres from the major I.S. held city of Mosul.
‘Two kilometres down the road is a town called Batnaya, which I.S. holds after driving out the Christian inhabitants.
“In the last few days [Islamic State] have been trying to come to these towns. They were somehow stopped by the coalition forces, from the air, and Peshmerga as well”, Mr Khamis said.
“We are on frontline, so last few nights there has been bombing from both sides, shelling. So yes, Dwekh Nawsha is frontline, trying to defend this town as much as we can.”
‘While Dwekh Nawsha is nominally fighting on the same side as the Kurdish Peshmerga forces and the central Iraqi government, Mr Khamis said they received little help from either side.
I am not surprised. Muslims never like the sight of Infidels defending themselves against Muslim attack. And the Peshmerga and the Iraqi government are composed of Muslims, whether Shiite or Sunni, Kurd or Arab. Not as revivalist, not as fervent perhaps, as the Islamic State entity; but still deeply conditioned by Islam to dislike, to take umbrage at, the sight of people whom have eked out an existence as defenceless dhimmis for centuries – always vulnerable, to be “protected” and used and abused at will – taking up arms and defending themselves…against Muslims. I would tell Mr Khamis: please, please, please, do not trust them; not the Peshmerga, not the ‘central government’, not any other Muslim with whom you may – of necessity – have to do. Do not trust them, because you cannot trust them. – CM
“We have to have our own force, so we do need support as much as we can. We are appealing to the international community, particularly Australia, to help as well”, he said.
Yes. And we should. We, the non-Muslim and indeed still supposedly majority-Christian western countries. These – the Assyrian Christians first and foremost, and perhaps also the few Yazidi – are the only people in the whole Syria and Iraq mess that we should be arming, training, supplying, assisting in every way that we can. They should be able to call upon us for help and receive it. But instead our foolish, foolish governments are indiscriminately offering ‘aid’ and ‘training’ to …the Muslims, whether Kurd or Arab; and are sidelining or wholly forgetting these desperate, threatened-by-genocide indigenous Christians. – CM
“To be honest, Dwekh Nawsha is not receiving anything from the central government, or the Kurdistan government of Kurdistan region, as we are independent militia (they have to be independent; because sensible non-Muslims do not place themselves at the mercy of Muslims, nor depend on Muslims for a “protection” that, historically, has proven only too often to be a snare and a deadly delusion – CM) so as you can imagine, these Dwekh Nawsha need salaries, weapons, accommodation and so on.”
These transcendentally brave Assyrian Christians, who have thrown off a dhimmi mindset and taken up arms in a just war of self-defence against genocide, need help in a just cause; as also the Greeks in the 19th century, throwing off the murderous Ottoman Muslim yoke and fighting for freedom, and as the Jews of Israel, in 1948, defending their tiny patch against genocidal Jihad, needed help from anyone decent and courageous enough to offer it. – CM
‘Mr Khamis said he was aware he might be breaking Australian foreign fighters laws, by taking up arms with the militia, but that he was ready to defend himself if there were any consequences.
“I am concerned, we do love Australia, it’s our second home, we love it as much as we love Iraq”, he said.
“We are concerned, but if anything happens because of my travel here and supporting and joining Dwekh Nawsha, I am happy and prepared to stand in front of (sic: I think he means “before” – CM) the law.
“Islamic State fighters don’t discriminate when it comes to killing, torture and so on.
“So we would like the entire international community (he might better have said, “we want all the non-Muslim majority-Christian nations, like Australia” – CM) to be stronger, to get together, and urgently help [the Assyrians] from humanitarian side, and also to do what they can to eradicate [Islamic State], to eliminate them, to drive them out of these towns, villages and these territories, so that the people can return back to their homes and their lands. This is our message, help us. Please.”
PM Cameron, PM Abbott, PM Stephen Harper, and other heads of state…are you listening? Isn’t it time we focused on those most in danger, those who will be subjected to outright genocide, if we do not act? Isn’t it time we helped our own – our fellow non-Muslims, our fellow Christians, who are, there in Iraq, a mortally-threatened indigenous people-group – instead of always, always, always siding with the Muslims? Can you hear that cry from the Christians of Iraq, echoing their cries in the 19th and in the early 20th century, echoing the cries of the Armenian Christians who were similarly subjected to genocide, 100 years ago…”This is our message. Help us. Please.”– CM
‘Assyrian community leaders in Australia have also asked the Government not to penalise members of the community who go to fight against IS.
And I, an Anglo-Celt Australian Christian, I second that request. And I also say that if our government knew what it was doing, men like Mr Khamis would not be going alone; they would be going with our blessing, and accompanied by Australian soldiers and military trainers, and supply lines would be established to bring in the food and the equipment; and if the Muslims did not like it, they could damn well lump it. It’s time for Infidel-to-Infidel solidarity to start happening in earnest. – CM
“These people, they’re not going there to join the I.S.I.S. or do a terrorist attack, they are going there to provide moral support for our Dwekh Nawsha, so hopefully we can clarify that with the Australian government, to see what’s their stand on a situation like this guy”, Hermiz Shahin of the Assyrian Universal Alliance told the ABC.
‘Mr Shahin also urged the Australian government to provide assistance to the Assyrians of Iraq.
“We need immediate action from the Australian Government, first to provide safe haven for our people, especially in the liberated areas because they are out of protection”, he said.
“Secondly, we ask them to support our demand for establishment of an autonomous region. This is only the ultimate solution to keep our people in their homeland.”
Yes. Indeed, not just an autonomous region but a sovereign state – as Israel is for the Jews – will do, in the long run, if the Assyrian non-Muslims want to remain in their homeland; and for the safety of those Assyrians there should not be one Muslim allowed to remain within the gates. Yazidis, yes, perhaps, but not Muslims. The problem is to identify a defensible and economically viable region within the traditional Assyrian homelands, capable of being fortified and held against future Jihads. They cannot survive as a minority within any circumambient Muslim entity, dependent on Muslims for “protection”; history shows that the “protection” afforded by Muslims is not worth spit. – CM
“And the other thing is, our people are ready now to carry weapons (defying the dhimma, which forbade non-Muslims within a Muslim state from owning or bearing arms – CM) and protect themselves against ISIS (again, defying the dhimma; for no matter what a Muslim does to a dhimmi, the dhimmi must not respond, must not even lift a hand to defend himself – CM), and they need international support, and this is what we are asking the Australian Government to do.”
‘The Attorney-General’s Department has been contacted for comment.”
The last remnant of the indigenous Christians of Syria and Iraq are crying out for help as – terribly outnumbered and outgunned – they mount a heroic, last-ditch resistance against a relentless jihad genocide. Let us hope against hope that they may receive the same answer from Australia that, nearly 100 years ago, some of their forebears received from a young Australian army captain named Stanley George Savige, who more than lived up to the second of his baptismal names.
