As described, this book rather reminds me of “John Roy Carlson” (whose actual name was Armenian), and the way he wrote his three great investigative books ‘Under Cover”, “Cairo to Damascus” and “The Plotters”, examining respectively 1/ Nazi activity and sympathizers in the USA prior to the entry of the USA into WWII, 2/ the Muslim Jihad against the newborn Jewish state (posing as a German-American Naziphile and Islamophile, ‘Carlson’ in Cairo managed to score an interview with Hassan al’Banna, grandpapa of Tariq Ramadan, and a head honcho of the Muslim Brotherhood), and 3/ Communist plots and plotters. I think Carlson and Tenenbom would have got on pretty well; I wonder whether Tenenbom has read “Cairo to Damascus”?? If he hasn’t I think he’d enjoy it. H e’d also see that very little has changed.
