I posted about the demonstrations in Epping last month. And mentioned the Britannia Hotel in London‘s docklands (which used to be London Docks on the Isle of Dogs, Poplar, home of Call the Midwife)
Epping has held regular peaceful demonstrations twice a week ever since. I can’t report and follow every one – so many towns are making their voices heard these days, and more power to their collective elbows.
News came during the week that coachloads of young men were moved into the Britannia Hotel in the early hours, under cover of night.

Watch the whole clip of them arriving – all young men – here

So now local people are expressing their desire for them to be gone. East London women, cockneys like myself dressed in pink started their rally with the old music hall song, Maybe it’s Because I’m a Londoner.
Follow this link to Jack Hadfield’s full X post to see and hear them. He is reporting at intervals from Canary Wharf and his videos are excellent. I’m impressed.
And this one by Chris Rose to watch them sitting in front of the hotel is also good.
And now via Janey they are singing Sweet Caroline

The men are not idle – within hours of arriving the illegal migrants are on the streets as undocumented food delivery riders. But this pair were stopped – for now.

It’s not going to stop and the government is worried that we are not acquiescing.
