Dutch Researcher: It’s Not "Poverty" Nor "Isolation" But Taking Islam To Heart

What Muslims, allowed to live in the advanced, because non-Muslim, West, go off to join the Islamic State? Is it the poor Muslims, desperate at not having found a job or been schooled in the West? Is it those who feel “isolated” and “ignored” by Western Infidels, even though it is the Qur’an and Hadith that tells Muslims not to take Christians and Jews as friends, to regard them with hostility and hate, and to despise their man-made laws, their idiotic and decadent ways, their ungrateful attitude toward the Message of Islam, brought by Muhammad, Messenger of God?

No, the “better” they are seemingly integrated — higher education, higher socioeconomic level — the more susceptible they are to “radicalisation” which means, so often, simply studying, and taking to heart, what is in Quran and Hadith, and following closely the model of that Perfect Man (al-insan al-kamil), Muhammad, an exemplar for all Muslims, in all situations, and for all time.

A Dutch researcher adduces his own findings as to what explains or motivates those who go off to the Islamic State, those whom the Western press, lazily and without explanation of what the word means, describe as “radicalised,” here.
