According to posts on X there are at least 25 protests organised totonight and tomorrow in town suffering from illegal migrants, young men of military service age, billeted in hotels in their town and responsible for crime, including theft, vandalism and sexual assaults.
I can’t follow everything so tonight I have looked at Epping where I used to go out with friends for a beer, my husband Aldershot where at the same age he did basic training (and a beer when off duty) and both of us Norwich.
Epping;

Although Epping was one of the first demonstrations tonight they are following Canary Wharf last week with the women in the lead wearing pink.
A sit-in in the main street then a march to the Town Hall.

The local council wants the hotel returned to general business use but it has been comandeered by the Home Office; however no harm to remind them who pays their council tax.

A good turn out outside the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe. Currently singing Rule Britannia
Barely a dozen SuTR type counter protesters. Follow these links to video clips.

Aldershot – as you drove into Aldershot a sign used to declare “Home of the British Army”. I don’t know if that is stil there. Reorganisation and cuts in the last 20 years have moved the HQ of several regiments to Colchester, another proud garrison town. And the famous Heroes of Lucknow pub has been shut for a decade.
GB News went to live report.
A grandmother called Millie has spoken out at a demonstration outside a migrant accommodation facility in Aldershot, articulating her worries about unauthorised boat arrivals via the English Channel.
The protest in Aldershot forms part of wider demonstrations occurring at asylum accommodation sites across the nation, with various groups organising gatherings both supporting and opposing the facilities’ use.
Millie expressed particular anxiety about personal safety, revealing she feels increasingly vulnerable whilst undertaking everyday activities.
“I’m a grandmother. I’m extremely fearful for women and children. I don’t want to be looking over my shoulder when I’m walking my dog alone. I’m frightened,” she stated. She emphasised that those arriving were “mainly men who are eating up our resources,” whilst drawing attention to the plight of military veterans without homes and other British citizens experiencing homelessness.
Millie responded forcefully when questioned about accusations of holding extremist views, describing such characterisations as deeply offensive. “I find it extremely insulting. We’re decent people,”
Watch the moment counter protesters holding ‘stop the far-right’ placards confront GB News cameras while Charlie Peters reports. Our National Reporter was live in Aldershot trying to speak to both sides of the argument as migrant hotel protests erupts in the Hampshire town.
Charlie said nobody was forthcoming from the ‘anti-racist’ crowd to offer their perspective but were happy to throw their placards in front of GB News cameras.
One individual branded GB News “Nazis” as Charlie asked why he was protesting, while everybody else refused to comment.
Our reporter said: “People on the other side have engaged with interviews. One told us she has never been to a protest before but she is here tonight in Aldershot because she is so concerned about what is happening to her local community. . . This protest is being led by women, concerned about the safety of their children and grandchildren. They are concerned about the people being brought into their community. On the other side, we have people here describing them as ‘Nazis’.”
Charlie approached the Stand Up to Racism crowd once more to try and get a comment, only to be ushered away by individuals carrying placards. One rushed up to the camera and a security guard was forced into action to ensure the placards did not become a hindrance to the GB News broadcast.
I see from a link that GB News also went to cover the protest in Altringham in Greater Manchester tonight.
Watch the moment Stand Up to Racism protesters swarm GB News North West Reporter Sophie Reaper as she tries to report from Altrincham.
The People’s Channel reporter was on the ground in the Greater Manchester market town to report from both sides of the demonstrations that have erupted over hotels being used to house asylum seekers.
After speaking to several anti-migrant hotel protesters, Sophie crossed the divide to find out what Stand Up to Racism protesters had to say.
Scenes of chaos ensued with demonstrators telling her to “go away” and “go back to your side”.
Another held their Stand Up to Racism placard in front of the GB News camera in an attempt to disrupt live coverage of the demonstration.
Tensions came to a head when Sophie appeared to be struck by a placard, forcing her security guard to jump in.
“I’ve just been hit by a placard on the head by one of these counter protesters”, she said. “We are just trying to give them the opportunity to have their side (sic). Police are now having to jump in.

More protests expected tomorrow including Nuneaton where two illegal Afghan males are in custody charged with the rape of a 12 year old girl. So far so good, no violence other than from the SuTR/Socialist worker cohort.
