Islamic Resistance Movement claims responsibility after posting video online
From the Telegraph
An explosion damaged a Jewish school in Amsterdam early on Saturday morning, in what the city’s mayor described as a targeted attack against the Jewish community.
Video footage appeared to show a suspect detonating the explosive outside the school, located in an upscale residential neighbourhood in the south of the city. The attack caused limited damage, and no injuries were reported, Femke Halsema, the mayor, said.
Security at Jewish institutions in the Dutch capital had already been heightened after an overnight arson attack at a synagogue in Rotterdam on Friday. In neighbouring Belgium, an explosion caused a fire at a synagogue in Liège on Monday.
Incident linked to Rotterdam attack
Unverified footage from a group, the Islamic Resistance Movement, showed a fire being started, followed by an explosion outside the school. The group claimed responsibility for the attack.
The same group’s logo appeared on Thursday alongside footage of the attack on the Rotterdam synagogue.
Dutch police said four men, aged 17 to 19, were arrested in connection with the incident. They were held after police stopped a car that was driving suspiciously near another synagogue, and the description of the driver appeared to match one of the perpetrators of the earlier attack.
