Fatalities at London terrorist attack

The Telegraph reports two fatalities on London Bridge. 

Sky News reports that their sources say it is a terrorist attack.

Even if you don’t know the area you will have heard of London Bridge (it isn’t the one with the towers – that is Tower Bridge) . Once over the bridge and on the south bank you go past Southwark cathedral and there is Borough Market. It was the fruit and veg market for that area of south London. In the last 20 years it has become a food and drink hub with several excellent pubs and lots of food stalls. Vauxhall is about a mile west, over Vauxhall Bridge. James Bond fans will recognise photographs of MI6 HQ. 

The knife/gun men are still at large, which is not good. Police are evacuating bars and restaurants. 

The situation is described as ‘on-going’ and large swathes of Central London are closed, and many people cannot get home. The River Police and the RNLI are involved.
