From the BBC, the Mirror and the German edition of The Local
A man armed with an axe injured four people on a train in southern Germany before being shot dead by police, officials say. Three people were seriously hurt and one suffered minor injuries in the attack in Wuerzburg, police said. Initial reports said up to 20 people had been injured but it was later revealed that at least 14 had been treated for shock.
The identity of the attacker or the motive is not yet clear. That’s the BBC talking. Other newspapers have less doubt.
A17-year-old Afghan refugee believed to be behind the attack was shot dead by police as he reportedly charged at them following the incident at Würzburg-Heidingsfeld station.
The boy is reported to have shouted “Allahu Akbar” before the attack. Bavarian interior minister Joachim Herrmann has told state television that the attacker was a 17-year-old Afghan man, who came to Germany as an unaccompanied minor refugee.
Law enforcement have entered the area in significant numbers and have brought helicopters into operation.

I bet he's not 17. I bet he lied about his age. I bet he's older – anywhere between 18 and 30.
