From The Times
Social media platform Bluesky has been forced to warn users that “glorifying violence” is against its rules in the wake of a spate of posts celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk.
The platform attracted millions of users as a left-wing alternative to X, after Elon Musk threw his support behind President Trump. Numerous posts shared this week have glorified the shooting of conservative commentator Kirk in Utah.
Some users have even posted hit lits of other potential targets, including the British author and activist JK Rowling.
In the wake of his death, dozens of Bluesky accounts were found to have posted messages that appear to contravene its rules, which prohibit posts that “show or promote violence”.
“Rest in piss,” wrote one user. “Go get Trump next.”
Another added: “I’m glad that guy died but they’re going really hard on the ‘Ohh this is a dark day for America’ about a guy I had never heard of until he was shot. Can we get JK Rowling next? The UK would be unbearable about it but it’s for the greater good of trans people.”
Posts being circulated contained apparent hit lists of potential victims including right-wing commentators Andy Ngo, Ben Shapiro and Benny Johnson. Kirk’s name was struck through with a black line.

The posts drew the attention of Musk, now chief executive of X, who accused users on the platform of “celebrating cold-blooded murder”.
Bluesky has issued a statement to its 38 million users via its Safety account. “We review reports and take action on content that celebrates harm against anyone . . . Violence has no place in healthy public discourse, and we’re committed to fostering healthy, open conversations.”

Oxford Union president who debated with Charlie Kirk
appears to celebrate shooting
The Oxford Union’s incoming president appeared to celebrate the shooting of Charlie Kirk, the Maga influencer, just months after debating with him.
George Abaraonye shared comments after Kirk, the free-speech advocate and key Donald Trump ally, was fatally shot at Utah Valley University as he discussed mass shootings committed by trans people.
In messages seen by The Telegraph, Mr Abaraonye posted: “Charlie Kirk got shot, let’s f—— go” – a common celebratory phrase among Gen Z.
Another message, believed to be on the student’s Instagram account, stated “Charlie Kirk got shot loool”, an exaggeration of the abbreviation “laughing out loud”.

The response from the Oxford Union isn’t exactly inspiring.
Toby Young of the Free Speech Union and Julia Hartley Brewer both said something similar
The new President of the Oxford Union, George Abaraonye, celebrated the death of Charlie Kirk. I believe in free speech. He’s entitled to do that. And we are entitled to judge him harshly for it.
However other comments did cross that line between freedom of opinion however odious one finds it, and inciting violence to another.

Instead of the usual whining and thoughts and prayers when witnessing an act of violence by liberals (like killing Charlie Kirk simply for saying something liberals don’t like), how about if, for once, we retaliate in kind and not give excuses for not doing so. You know, on people like George Soros, Maxine Waters, Brian Stelter, Rachel Madow, Keith Olbermann, Jasmine Crockett, Gavin Newsome, Sachin Peddada. Or, if they are too far away someone comparable nearby.
Just saying.
The sniling haters have no reflections in mirrors.
Reflect on that.
Until the Left pays for its actions, we can expect more and worse.
No reflections in mirrors? THEY should reflect on that!
Talking about pain is similar to talking about the taste of chocolate. It has to be tried in order for it to have any effect.
