Kenya chief’s son in Muslim university death squad

From the Express

ONE of the Muslim terrorists who helped massacre nearly 150 people at a Kenyan university was unmasked yesterday as the son of a Government official. Former law student Abdirahim Abdullahi was one of four gunmen shot dead by police after the campus bloodbath at Garissa.

Kenyan Interior Minister Mwenda Njoka said Abdullahi was an ethnic Somali with Kenyan nationality. His father, Chief Daqara, was an official in the region bordering Somalia.

Other sources described the terrorist as a “brilliant upcoming lawyer” who studied at the University of Nairobi after getting A-grades at school. One said he graduated two years ago but joined Al Shabaab immediately afterwards.“He was a very brilliant student,” the source said. “But then he got these crazy ideas.”

Somalia’s Al Qaeda offshoot, Al Shabaab, has claimed responsibility for the outrage on Maundy Thursday. Police believe Al Shabaab warlord Mohamed Mohamud is responsible for planning the attack. They have put a £150,000 bounty on his head.
