Lies and Jew hatred in east London; What The Schoolgirl Represents And Why Her Lies Must Be Met With Truth

There is a well regarded philanthropist in east London and Essex named Jack Petchey. He’s 90, was born into a huge poor family in the east End, made some money (quite a lot really) and decided to do some good for the young of east London and Essex with it. I know first hand what good his foundation has done.

One of the things the foundation sponsors is a competition for publicspeaking called the Speak Out Challenge. Schools from Essex and the London boroughs send pupils to make a speech (which must be positive and uplifting) within their borough’s regional heat. The winners for the regional heats go through to a Grand Final up London. The winner of the London Borough of Redbridge heat earlier this month was a girl named Leanne Mohamad from Wanstead High School with a speech called Birds not Bombs.

Unfortunately this speech, delivered in a, (to my modest old fashioned taste) rather showy and slick manner, was more of a piece of agitprop on behalf of Hamas or ISIS than a wholesome plea for world peace. The Jack Petchey Foundation agreed that her speech did not meet their requirements that a speech must have a positive and uplifting message and furthermore that  “a speaker should never inflame or offend the audience or insult others and this, by definition, means that propaganda is ruled out absolutely from the outset”. And thus the video of her speech has been removed from their website and she will not be permitted at the final.

Brian of London has put his comments to her speech here. It refutes her claims much better than I could.

This goes beyond the idealism of 15 year old girl. Brian and others have been accused on twitter and elsewhere of bullying a young child. I must point out that their criticism and concern has been directed towards the school as to why propaganda  and inaccuracies so profound that Brian considers them to be a modern instance of the old blood libel have been, not just allowed, but, if the applause at the end is anything to go by, encouraged.

This is bigger than one schoolgirl who is lucky enough to be eduated in a good school, in an affluent part of London, in a nice red uniform with no jilbab or niqab cramping her oratorial style. Since the Petchey Foundation video was taken down by their admins a copy has been replaced by a pro-palestinian activist well known in BDS circles. Leanne’s tweets, before she deleted them,  didn’t make happy reading either  (including retweets from Hamas apologist Abbas Sarsor) such that again, the head master should be a worried man.

Wanstead High School (when I knew it as Wanstead County High School) had a good opinion of itself; the pupils rather looked down on those of us schooled the other side of the borough boundary in Waltham Forest. In our turn we regarded their co-eduational style as rather racy. But it was a good school; it remains an affluent area.

There is no response from the head at the moment, but I know that he has been asked to show Brian’s response to the students. It is half term this week so I doubt whether anything will happen at school until this time next week. Elsewhere meanwhile, the usual anti-israel, anti-Jew suspects are busy…

  1. The response will have resulted in sympathy for her and more wide spread publicity for the video.

    A Pyrrhic victory.

  2. We discussed that and decided on balance to post on the principle that if you don’t scream how will anybody know you are being murdered.
The culture in London’s schools is a worry to many of us. The exodus of Jews from boroughs and suburbs where they no longer feel safe isn’t confined to Paris as in this article today.

I know the area; it was where East End Jews (and non Jews) moved to during the 20th century once they had earned enough money to get a mortgage and buy their own homes. This last 15 years the Jewish influence is much less visible. And that is to the detriment of the area.

  3. This just shows the amount of brainwashing Palestinian children undergo . The poor child actually believes that what she is saying is true . Maybe we could arrange a trip for her to Israel , to meet some Israeli kids , or see Palestinian children being treated in Israeli hospitals . I only hope it’s not too late .
