The reports are coming in thick and fast at the moment. Some suggestions as many as 10 people injured. The train was an LNER service from Yorkshire to London Kings Cross. It was stopped at Huntingdon (a lovely quiet country former county town) station and surrounded then entered by armed police of the British Transport Police and Cambridgeshire Constabulary. Two men have been arrested, it doesn’t sound like a domestic or a gang revenge punishment. I know what it sounds like.

From GB News
Two people have been arrested after multiple people were stabbed on a train to Huntington, police say.
British Transport Police (BTP) said it was “currently responding to an incident on a train to Huntingdon where multiple people have been stabbed”. It is understood he train involved was the 1825 LNER service from Doncaster to London.
The force said that two people had been arrested and BTP officers were working alongside Cambridgeshire Police with more than 30 officers called to the scene.
“We were called at 7.39pm with reports that multiple people had been stabbed on a train,” Cambridgeshire Police said.
A witness who was on the train tells Sky News he saw someone moving through his carriage saying: “They’ve got a knife, I’ve been stabbed.”
“They were making their way through the carriage to get away from the suspects. They were extremely bloodied,” says the man, giving his name as Gavin.
He says by the time the train stopped, “they were basically on the floor”.
“That person ended up collapsing on the floor. They were taken to an ambulance pretty much straight away,” he said.
Gavin said passengers were ushered out into the station, adding: “There were multiple people who had been stabbed”.
The Home Secretary on X
Dont comment and speculate she says – yeah right!
The Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philip was nearer the mark and earlier.

a brutal mass attack by two perpetrators . . . The police and government should provide an update on what happened and who has been arrested as soon as possible.
The incident began shortly after the LNER train left Peterborough station at about 7.30pm. The first 999 call was received by Cambridgeshire police nine minutes later and more than 30 officers were sent to the scene.
A witness described seeing a man with a large knife and said there was “blood everywhere”.
People hid in the lavatories to escape the attack and some were getting “stamped [on] by others” as they tried to run. “I heard some people shouting we love [you],” the witness said.
An eyewitness said that the suspects “attacked anyone they could” on the train, but they were unsure who was injured in the attack. An eyewitness has told Sky News that a suspect was “tasered” by police.
I am going to defy the Home Secretary and speculate that two ‘suspects’ acting in tandem agianst random members of the public does not sound like a domestic or a gang war or a mental health delusion.
Sky News Video. A witness who saw the victims and one suspect under arrest (but not an actual assault) described the suspect he saw as a ‘black man, dressed all in black with a black hoodie”
