The Western approach to resolving this conflict has been to dupe the public into sending unlimited amounts of cash (along with essentially useless weaponry, which gets destroyed weeks after delivery).
The cash is metaphorically snow-shovelled off the back of trucks into the hands of the kleptocrats/oligarchs who immediately turn it around and drop it in numbered companies in the tax havens, under the pretense of “advisory fees” or some such disguise.
No mention is ever made of Ukraine’s corrupt infrastructure, they’re always the good guys who need our help.
From the numbered companies and corporate trusts, the money is funnelled to Xanadu type homes, yachts, planes and gimcracks in the West and pays big bucks to security personnel who keep them from getting offed by the people they stole it all from.
So, when you are accosted on the street or bludgeoned by TV fund raisers for Ukraine, or your own government magnanimously donates hundreds of millions;
REMEMBER!
That 90/95% of the money you donate, (and I’m talking Governments, Businesses and Individuals here) doesn’t go anywhere near the fight, it’s whisked away before it touches the ground.
If you think I’m being too cynical just take a look at how the donations of over $6 billion for the Haiti Earthquake relief fund have been disbursed (and that’s peanuts compared to the amount of money we’re talking about in the Ukraine war)
Some 15 years later nobody has any idea where the money has gone and Haiti is still in ruins.
