Nice terrorist said to be named Brahim Aouissaoui from Tunisia

According to French newspaper Le Figaro and Italian news sources Tendenze on-line and Mondo Palermo of Scily who are using information from AFP the young male jihadi who murdered three people this morning at the Basilica in Nice is one Brahim Aouissaoui from Tunisia. He entered Lampedusa in Italy a few weeks ago where he was quarantined, and was then officially identified in Bari on October 9th.

Papers from the Italian Red Cross found in his pocket this morning have helped the French police to find his identity.

After which the Italian authorities required that he leave that country and “the police and intelligence services are now retracing the stages of the journey that took him to the French Riviera. And above all, they are checking why he was not held in the identification center pending repatriation”. He entered France illegally some time after 9th of this month.

The last time I looked Tunisia wasn’t at war and was one of the more prosperous of the North African countries, although becoming more islamic and less secular in recent years.
