Rachel Riley witnesses people ‘celebrating’ in London after Hamas attack on Israel

The Countdown presenter said she had seen people dancing and “seemingly celebrating like they were having a party”.

Writing on social media, she said: “I just passed two cars in west London driving with Palestinian flags flying from each window, bouncing up and down in their cars, seemingly celebrating like they were having a party. Make no mistake, this is a dangerous and terrifying time for all Jews around the world.”

This is definitely Acton High Street; the Windmill pub is an established business there.

Sadiq Khan has tweeted about extra police support around London

I remain in close contact with senior leadership at the Met and communities across our city. Londoners will see an additional police presence. Let me be clear: hate crime in London will not be tolerated.

The comments have replied to the effect that they fear his concern is only about one ‘community’ and making the very valid point “It did make me wonder about the amount of planning behind all those young men to entered Europe as illegal immigrants, flowing to the liberal democracies.”

The Telegraph has reports of similar jubilation in Greece, Berlin and throughout the Middle East
