Since today is the anniversary of Guevara’s execution in his bungled attempt to carry out a guerrilla war in Bolivia where he brutalized the peasants, and since so many liberals worship the psychotic murderer as is their wont, and, furthermore, since there will be many more future hagiographies of Guevara rendered to film by the Communist-infested Hollywood industry, I thought it would be a good idea to remember some of this wise man’s sayings while alive. Here, then, are some of his gems:
“The victory of socialism is well worth millions of atomic victims,” boasted Che Guevara in November 1962.
“Mexicans are a rabble of illiterate Indians. South American peasants are nothing but animals.”
“Revolutionaries must become cold killing machines motivated by pure hate.”
“The negro is indolent and spends his money on frivolity and drink, whereas the European is intelligent and forward looking.”
“My friends are friends only so long as they think as I do politically.”
“To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary.”
“What we affirm is that we must proceed along the path of liberation [Communism] even if this costs millions of atomic victims.”
“If any person has a good word for the previous government that is good enough for me to have him shot.”
Armando Simón is originally from Cuba, a retired psychologist and author of A Cuban from Kansas and Fables from the Americas.
