I blame Edward Said. Not enough muscular Orientalists in the right places anymore. Maybe a compulsory reading of John Buchan or Kipling might stop the rot
Or Churchill for that matter, not that reading would be a help to predator or prey. Appeasement, like evil, has no bottom.
