The Hypocrisy of Barack Obama

This week, former president Barack Obama reacted bitterly to the Department of Justice dropping charges against Michael Flynn in a case that never should have been brought in the first place. His farcical statement bemoaned the “loss of the rule of law”, an absurd statement given his own shoddy record as president and his own two choices for attorney general, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch.

A few facts to remember:

This is a president (Obama) who presided over the criminal activity of top officials at the FBI as they first whitewashed a well-documented case of Hillary Clinton’s emails. Remember Attorney General Lynch’s well documented tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton at Phoenix Airport? Remember the farce of an FBI interview of Mrs Clinton days before the announcement that the case was being closed?

This is a president who presided over the criminal activity of top FBI officials in manufacturing a case of Russian collusion against candidate/president-elect/president Trump based on a phony dossier that was bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign and the DNC. The FBI used that bogus document in their affidavits for a FISA warrant against Carter Page.

Rule of law?

This was a president who allowed his secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, to jeopardize our national security by using a private server to handle her official  communications-a clear violation of the State Department’s regulations and the law. How did he know? He himself was contacting Clinton through that server.

This was a president who presided over Operation Fast and Furious, where BATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms)  agents sat and watched as straw purchasers bought weapons in US gun stores and took them over the border to deliver to Mexican drug cartels-with no efforts to stop them or notify the Mexican police. The goal? To pre-record their serial numbers and document them after they turned up at murder scenes so as to make the point that Mexico was getting its deadly weapons from the US-thus necessitating the need for tighter US gun laws. Even after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered by one of those weapons, our Justice Department blamed it all on a few rogue BATF agents in Arizona and covered up the Washington role in it before Congress. Then-Attorney General Holder lied in his sworn testimony before Congress. He was up to his neck in  it all.

This was a president who sent his Justice Department and Holder himself down to Ferguson, Missouri along with a DOJ unit to  work with protesters against the police for the Michael Brown shooting, a shooting that even they, in the end, had to concede was justified.

And as has been revealed this week, this was a president who presided over the setting up of Michael Flynn in a “lying to the FBI” trap. Obama knew what they were doing to Flynn.

One could go on and on, but suffice to say that Obama was a corrupt president, and he used his Justice Department, in particular Eric Holder, to perpetrate much of that corruption. And now he comes out and blasts the Trump administration and its DOJ for not upholding the “rule of law”.

Barack Obama is a hypocrite.
