Transgender ‘Day of Vengeance’ Comes to Green Hills

by Rebecca Bynum

The unthinkable came to my little corner of the world yesterday. A woman, Audrey Elizabeth Hale, “identifying as a man” and going by Aiden Hale, shot up a Christian School very near my home. Ms./Mr. Hale also lived close by. Apparently she/he had attended the school and was seeking some kind of revenge by killing three nine-year-old children and three members of the staff. No one from outside would even know a school was there. It just looks like a beautiful church up on a hill overlooking our little area of Nashville called Green Hills.

Audrey Hale in better days.

She/he was a graphic designer. News reports this morning say she/he had written a manifesto, which, If I were to guess, probably had something to do with the recent bill passed here banning transgender surgeries for minors and the radical transgender political agenda.

Here is one of the latest reports from CBS:

A shooter opened fire at a private Christian grade school in Nashville on Monday, killing three children and three adults, officials said. The suspected shooter was fatally shot by police at Covenant School in the city’s Green Hills neighborhood, authorities said.

Katherine Koonce, 60, (left), Hallie Scruggs, 9, (middle) and Mike Hill, 61, (rights) were all killed in a school shooting on Monday, March 27, 2023.

Authorities have identified the victims as 9-year-olds Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, 61-year-old Cynthia Peak, 60-year-old Katherine Koonce, and 61-year-old Mike Hill. All three adults worked at the school. Police identified the shooter as Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old from Nashville, who officials said was armed with at least two assault weapons and a handgun.

Nashville Police Chief John Drake said their preliminary investigation into the shooting indicated that it was a targeted attack. The probe suggested that the shooter was at one time a student at the school, although Drake did not know exactly when they may have attended.

Police discovered “a manifesto” as well as “maps drawn of the school in detail,” according to the chief.

“We’ve also determined there were maps drawn of the school in detail of surveillance, entry points, etc. We know and believe that entry was gained by shooting through one of the doors, is how they actually got into the school,” Drake said. Police later released surveillance video showing the suspect shooting through the glass panes on the doors and entering the building.

Drake described the guns used to carry out the shooting as two “AR-style weapons” — a rifle and a pistol — in addition to another handgun. Authorities believe that two of the weapons may have been obtained legally and locally, according to the police chief.

These policemen ran toward the gunfire and “engaged the suspect,” meaning they shot her/him dead before she/he could kill any more children.
