Truck used in Berlin ‘terror attack’ was ‘HIJACKED’ before ploughing into Christmas market killing shoppers

This isn’t yet certain but it has the ring of truth. From the Mirror and the Daily Mail

The truck used to plough into a Christmas market in Berlin, killing at least nine people, may have been hijacked, according to the firm which owns it. The delivery company said the vehicle had left Poland this afternoon before driving to Germany but lost touch with the firm at 4pm local time. …police confirmed that the man found dead was Polish.

The haulage company is registered in Gdansk, according to local media reports.

The firm’s owner said his cousin had been travelling to Berlin in the lorry… and would not hurt anyone.  The driver’s cousin added said that he had only planned to make a quick stop to unload in Berlin while on his way from Italy to Poland, 80 miles east of Berlin.

It was full of steel girders, which would have made it even more deadly as it careered through the populated square.
