  1. Major correction needed: Bennetta Betbadal was NOT a Muslim. She was an Assyrian Christian, and married to a Christian.

From one article giving names and some details on victims of the attack – “Ms Bet-Badal fled to America when she was 18 to escape Islamic extremism **and the persecution of Christians** that followed the Iranian Revolution…”.

A news site run by Assyrian Christians gives full details.
“Assyrian Woman Killed in San Bernardino Shooting…”.

The report says of Bennetta and her husband that “the couple, religious Roman Catholics, were married in March 1997”. She spoke both Farsi and Assyrian (i.e. Syriac-Aramaic). In a FB post praising an Assyrian [non-Muslim] singer, she wrote “May our Lord Jesus be with you all the days of your life”.

To repeat: she was NOT a Muslim; she was a Christian from the Assyrian Christian minority who belong to territories now controlled by Iran, Iraq and Syria (and now encroached upon by Islamic State). Her family fled to the USA seeking freedom to practise their *Christian* faith, far away from the persecution inflicted upon them and their community – for centuries – by Iranian Shiite Muslims; but right there in the country of refuge she was murdered by…Sunni Muslims. Her story is perhaps the most wrenchingly-sad of all the stories of all the Infidels butchered by those two Jihadis in San Bernardino.
