Two radicalized girls, who had planned a knife attack in a Saint-Etienne police station at the end of 2018, were sentenced by the children’s court to prison terms partially suspended, announced the Saint-Etienne prosecutor’s office on Monday.
Domiciled in Gironde, a young man, 17 years old at the time of the facts, who had sent numerous propaganda videos to adolescent girls, for his part, was found guilty of public apology for terrorism and sentenced to nine months of imprisonment, with a probationary stay.
Originally from Nord-Isère, the first radicalized girl, aged 17 at the time of the facts and presented as the leader of the project, was sentenced last Tuesday to 15 months in prison, including five months with probationary suspension.
Her youngest daughter, (I think whoever, or whatever translated this from the French confused the word for girl with the word for daughter, which are the same, or very similar, fille) 14 years old at the time of the events, was sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment with a probationary suspension, her judgment having been recognized as impaired by psychiatric experts.
The case began on November 9 and 10, 2018 with the arrest by the judicial police of the two teenage girls following the revelation made to the toll-free number of the National Center for Assistance and Prevention of radicalization of a plan of attack which they would have planned after having converted to Islam.
The youngest had quickly recognized having had the project of “dying as a martyr” by attacking, with her elder, the central police station of Saint-Etienne armed with knives.
I wonder what their ‘husbands’ think of this?
