FSU – Freshman English 104 – Jan 1962.
Professor required one page comp on why you (a student) chose Florida State over a real university.
Student wrote at the end of a page full of ramblings "… needless to say I coudn't get in to any other place."
Professor replied with red marking pencil across the script: "If it's needless to say, why say it? Besides, one glance at you and it's quite apparent the reason you're here instead of Delta State."
