Not specifically for Christmas, just a photograph I took last week that I was quite pleased with and earmarked for something. These are Thames sailing barges (c1890- 1910) which were not confined to the River Thames but moved goods and cargo up and down the east coast and into the rivers off. These were moored on the Blackwater, the main river of Essex flowing into the North Sea north of the Thames estuary.
