Nancy’s Long Count

With speculation about China’s response growing as Mrs. Pelosi’s plane glided into Taiwan, a tv reporter announced excitedly, “She’s on the ground.” Now, I disagree strongly with most of the Speaker’s decisions but surely, I thought, knocking her down was going too far.
Imagine my indignation then as her visit ended and the same reporter announced, “She was on the ground for 19 hours.”
