Many readers will know the bedtime story of the three little children who, winkin’, blinkin’ and noddin’, sailed on a calm sea to dreamland in a wooden shoe. I have been unable to get the vision out of my mind since I read of the world’s defence of Ukraine being led by Austin, Blinken and Nod.

I have to disagree with you here, Reg. I think the Biden administration has been working hard to support the Ukrainians, and has done a pretty good job given the circumstances. I think the coordinated diplomatic effort in particular has been pretty impressive.
I’ll take what Joe Biden’s done so far over Donald Trump calling Vladimir Putin a genius, that’s for sure.
