Several people are reportedly injured. Swedish media outlets say the vehicle is on fire.
Police are at the scene and the downtown area has been sealed off by security forces.
Some on social media say people have been spotted on the ground.
Armed police are in the area.
According to the Telegraph there are several people dead.
