That Nunes Press Briefing

by Rebecca Bynum

The papers are downplaying the significance of Rep, Nunes’ press briefing this morning, but I watched it closely and predict it will end with a huge investigation of the Obama Administration. It sounds to me as though “someone” ordered the compilation of anything and everything incidentally picked up involving Trump’s transition team after the election – November, December and January – and this had nothing to do with the Russia investigation. These intercepts were compiled into intelligence reports, the Trump peoples’ names were unmasked, and then these reports were spread among all the intelligence agencies. Obama signed an EO making this wide sharing possible at the 11th hour. Trump’s own communications were included. Nunes indicated his name was not unmasked but it was obvious it was Trump.

We need to know who ordered this. It seems as though FBI Director Comey and Admiral Rogers lied to the House Committee on Monday when they testified they had seen no evidence that Trump and his team were surveilled.

Nunes said the compilation involved several FISA warrants – all unrelated to the Russia investigation. Did Obama order this compilation – “Give me everything you can without breaking any laws”?

Prediction: this will be a huge political scandal. Obama will be drawn in and his legacy irreparably damaged.
