West London man who plotted to fake passport and join ISIS in Syria is jailed for nine years

A young west Londoner who plotted to travel to Syria and join Isis has been jailed for nine years.Jabed Hussain, 22, from Acton, changed his name by deed poll in a bid to evade officials in his quest to join the terrorist group.

He first tried to travel to the Middle Eastern country in August 2015 but was caught by Turkish authorities at the border.

He was returned to the UK but was caught again after he changed his name to Ishaq Jabir Hussain and applied for a new passport.

ISIS-hopeful Hussain pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey in November last year to two charges of preparation of terrorist acts contrary to the Terrorism Act.

  1. Wouldn't it be enter to send him out to Isis?  Grant him his wish, that way the problem might solve itself.
