Inspiration
–
It’s as if I were pushed
through a doorway
into a different room.
And there is my muse, Muriel
brandishing a scented hanky.
The view is not spectacular.
A wall of porte vitrail
lead out to a dull balcony
above an empty courtyard
Muriel is noticeably silent
and seemingly preoccupied.

Principals Of Objectivity
–
She had a cruelness about you.
Could mop up any room with whatever
whomsoever dared to dispute.
Entering like a cosmic storm in
the far reaches of the first galaxy.
A cafe we loved so much,
to get away as is imaginable.
Tragic exuberance is served here.
That sign you stole while
I distracted the legend only
to return it again the next day.
