In Yemen, It’s Friday, So There’s Lots Of Mayhem And Murder

The main mayhem has been the bombing at a Shi’a mosque, killing more than 120,  and wouunding 200. That’s where Houthis, including some of the Houthi leaders, would have gone for Friday Prayers. Oh yes, and there was also an attempt to bomb, from a plane, the former leader Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who had fled from Sana’a to the south, to find refuge, so he thought,  among the Adeni separatists. And then there was also the killing of a famous journalist, Abdel Karim al-Khaiwani, who “was gunned down by men on a motorcycle as he came out of his home, the journalist’s son said.”

Or was that on Thursday or even possibly Wednesday? In Yemen, you don’t have to wait for Friday Prayers to kill; any day of the week will do.
